Dr. Kala Perkins-Holtsclaw
Bio
Dr. Perkins-Holtsclaw is a well-known higher education executive leader who specializes in accreditation, continuous quality improvement, assessment and evaluation, strategic planning, educational leadership, and policy analysis. She has served the higher education industry for 16 years in various leadership roles at a variety of institution types (private, not-for-profit, public, faith-based, community colleges, medical schools, Research 1, and HBCUs.)
Dr. Perkins-Holtsclaw also serves as a national and international higher education consultant, serves as a Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Committee on Colleges (SACSCOC) peer evaluator, and leads the higher education consulting division of Holt Consulting Solutions.

Dr. Perkins-Holtsclaw has experienced tremendous success as a higher education consultant and practitioner, specifically with SACSCOC 10-Year Reaffirmations, 5th-Year Interim Reports, substantive changes, Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) development, implementation, and reporting, mergers and acquisitions, preparing for and executing successful substantive change site visits and On-Site Committee visits.
In addition to institutional level accreditation, Dr. Perkins-Holtsclaw boasts a proven track record for leading programmatic accreditation processes and state regulatory agency compliance processes.
Dr. Perkins-Holtsclaw regularly shares her experiences and supports best practices in the field by presenting at regional, national, and international higher education conferences.
